Something about the tribal earthy look is similar...
I think they did it with organic fertilizer in the community garden. Also, maybe younger generations of sunflower seeds dropped right in that spot; the strongest grew the best. Darwinism in action....

Nice work, p247 and Grandmom! Macrame is a "lost" art from the 70's that may be having a resurgence as persons need more low-tech connections.
